Chairing the Hip Arthroscopy Section of the Florida Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting

On Saturday, May 20, 2017, Dr. Dominic Carreira chaired the Hip Arthroscopy section of the annual meeting of the Florida Orthopaedic Society. During this four-day conference, Dr. Carreira moderated a section which included detailed discussions on various methods and approaches to labrum treatment, an update on femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), and management of the hip capsule.

The Florida Orthopaedic Society was founded in an effort to raise the standards of orthopaedic practices by providing ongoing education, networking, recognition and certification. Since 1947 the Florida Orthopaedic Society has represented the interests of the orthopaedic profession in Florida. The annual meeting of this leading medical society took place this year in Key Largo, Florida. For the first time in the history of the organization, hip preservation surgery was allotted its own unique subsection during the annual meeting.
