In addition to serving as faculty at Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) conferences in Chicago, Dr. Carreira also will be instructing on hip arthroscopy in Nashville in March. This upcoming course will include the following training in hip arthroscopy.

This symposium draws surgeons from all over the world. This year, Dr. Carreira again will serve as faculty, including instructing surgeons on the surgical techniques in the lab. In addition, Dr. Carreira will present his technique on hip labrum reconstruction using a shuttle technique during the lecture series.
In cases where the labrum tissue is torn beyond repair, replacing it with cadaver tissue is an alternative. This technique has been developed by Dr. Carreira. Patients who have been treated with this technique are being asked to enroll in a research study.

Recently, Dr. Carreira published on his website a considerable amount of new information about hip, foot and ankle arthroscopy. This new and expanded content includes detailed information and videos about many aspects of arthroscopy.

Responding to the needs of his foot and ankle injury patients, Dr. Dominic Carreira recently added important information to his website for patients suffering from plantar fasciitis or from Achilles tendon injuries.

In looking to provide a bit of assistance to both local and international patients, Dr. Carreira has added links to his website for driving directions from Miami International Airport to his office in Fort Lauderdale.

As part of his regular efforts to share educational materials with his patients, Dr. Carreira has posted a video of about the diagnosis of snapping hip, which is also called internal snap.

One of the foremost surgeons working in the field of hip arthroscopy, Dr. Carreira recently featured in a focus story on WPLG Local 10, a local television station in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area. The news piece highlighted a newer medical procedure called advanced hip arthroscopy, and how that procedure was successfully utilized to help an active younger woman return to full health after a serious hip injury.
