In the spring of 2004, Dr. Carreira presenting the outcomes of arthroscopic stabilization at the XXII Annual Conference of the Spanish Arthroscopy Association in Salamanca, Spain.

Although Dr Carreira grew up as a bilingual, speaking English and Spanish, he trained in the US and entirely in English. As part of his professional development, Dr. Carreira learned the more technical orthopedic terms in Spanish, which is now valuable to his Spanish-speaking patients.
