Medical Doctor to the Mexico-Paraguay International Soccer Match

As a leading arthroscopic surgeon focused on sports medicine, Dr. Dominic Carreira recently served as medical doctor for the international soccer match between Mexico and Paraguay on August 31 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The game was a friendly match between to the two soccer rivals in the run up to the World Cup in December of this year. The CONCACAF powerhouse, Mexico, lost 0 – 1 to Paraguay.

Dr. Carreira has served in a similar roles for a number of teams, clubs, and sports throughout his career. He was worked with Atlanta United, both the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Ski Teams, Miami Dolphins, Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Blaze and the Miami Marlins.
